End of transitonal period for introduction of new EU health certificates

Since the end of the EUs transitional period in June, Defra have been issuing Regulation 22 Notices requiring amended documentation to be obtained, for consignments with certification errors. However from the 1 September they will require all consignments with certification errors to be detained and isolated in facilities agreed with the FHI while errors are rectified, when this is not possible consignments will not be released from the BIP.

Consignments must be accompanied by the correct model certificate, with declarations made that reflect accurately the consignment/ origin and that meet the required standards for entry to GB.

The attached letter has been sent to all importers - view it here.
